Radically Circular

We combine circularity with transparency and logistics to deliver a responsible business solution.

Are you a brand or retailer looking to be more sustainable?

Do you have concerns of traceability, reverse logistics, and pre-consumer and post-consumer waste? If so let’s take you on a journey.

1. Collaborate

We collaborate with partner brands to design a range of garments. After designs are finalised and the collection is produced, they can be sold under the partner brands or through various retailers.

2. Manufacture

We manufacture garments using electrospinning, a waste-free method that jumps straight from material to garment in a single step. This method allows the creation of novel designs and seamless constructions, all without complex supply chains.

3. Sell

We manufacture garments using electrospinning, a waste-free methods that jumps straight from material to garment in a single step. This method allows the creation of novel designs and seamless constructions, all without complex supply chains.

4. Overstock management

We manage your pre-consumer waste at any time, no matter the condition. It could be item that do not sell or customer returns that cannot be resold. In exchange, you receive credit that can be spent on future stock.

5. Initiate Reclaim

For your customer, any garment manufactured by Phat Plastic can be returned straight to us at any time, in any condition and at zero cost. No matter if the garment has had a second or third life with a new owner. Using a smartphone camera, the label on a Phat Plastic garment can be scanned and a free return slip will be sent in which customers can pack and return their garment though their local postal service.

6. Earn Phat Credit

In exchange, customers receive credit that can be spent on Phat Plastic products under partner brands. When customers redeem their credit at partner brands or retailers, we remunerate the amount spent. With this system, customers are incentivised to recycle their garments and return back to partner brands and retailers to shop for sustainable clothes.

7. Recycle

Phat Plastic receives all pre-consumer and post-consumer waste and recycles them back into PHA from which new garments can be produced. In this way, we can avoid waste and reduce emissions by incorporating recycled content into new garments.

8. Monitor

Because we use a unique identification label on our manufactured products, garments can be traced through the entire system. This allows both brands and customer to access a garment’s metadata, ensuring that it is genuine and is sustainably made by Phat Plastic.

Sustainable at every step

Our system works in conjunction with our material and technology to minimise the environmental impact of fashion production at every step of the life cycle.

Transparency powered
by disruptive technology

Every garment made by Phat Plastic has a unique QR code embedded into the label, allowing owners to trace their garments back to its material origin and initiate the recycle process.
Distributed Ledger Technology
We use distributed ledger technology to maintain complete traceability and security throughout our system. The distributed ledger is decentralised by design and is immutable, therefore a garment’s certification, ownership, material composition, and environmental impact can be encoded and traced throughout the system.
For brands: the distributed ledger means that you can certify your product as genuine and prevent the influx of counterfeits.

For retailers: the distributed ledger means that you seamlessly trace items through the supply chain and can confidently sustain your environmental credentials.

For customers: the distributed ledger means that you can see our exact environmental impact down to the fine details and be sure your environmental savings.
